To make trips faster and more reliable, TransLink and the City of Vancouver are planning improvements along parts of Hastings Street starting in September 2026. This includes adjusting some bus stop locations, extending bus lanes, and making improvements at some intersections.
Why are we relocating bus stops? When stops are too close together, buses merge in and out of traffic more often, slowing down trips and making travel times harder to predict. See our explainer video.
Your feedback is important to us and will help us make informed decisions that will enhance your transit experience.
Following public engagement, the proposed bus stop changes on Hastings Street will be refined and brought into service in September 2026. We will keep feedback open for several weeks after they are in service to give riders and the community the opportunity to experience them and provide additional feedback to confirm the changes. Decisions on stop changes will be based on responses to this survey and feedback gathered during this introductory period. The final plan will be shared in December 2026, with the Winter Service Change announcement.
